Margaret Vega
Born in Silver Lake, Kansas, and daughter of Moises and Rose Vega of Silver Lake, Ms. Vega has three children, Brendan - age 12, Trenton - age 10 and Andrea - Age 7. She received her Associate of Arts degree in Legal Studies from Washburn University in 1999 and is currently working toward a Bachelor's Degree in Legal Studies from Washburn University. She is a member of the Kansas Paralegal Association.
Margaret started working for the firm as part of Washburn University's paralegal internship program during the summer of 1998. On August 1, 1998, she was hired on as a full-time paralegal. Back then the law firm consisted of only Joe, Larry, one law clerk, a secretary, and herself. Her job duties consisted of transcribing, drafting correspondence, and drafting pleadings.
Her responsibilities, however, have changed over the years. Now as Office Manager she is responsible for nearly every thing that goes on, from scanning the daily mail into the database, drafting various motions, letters and other correspondence, and scheduling appointments; to handling billing, managing the support staff, and keeping the attorneys on track.
